Is there a way you can make a rule about avatar size? I just saw someone using this giant picture as an avatar and it took up like half my screen. It's not really that big of a deal, though, but yeah...

This has been made into a thread in which rules about avatars will be discussed.

For now, the rules are as follows. You can upload your own image, and the restrictions on this is that it must be 100x100 and less than 40kB.
There was a problem with remote avatars, but that problem has now been fixed. If you wish to use pictures greater than 100x100 or greater than 40kB, please remotely link to them, but be warned that they will be resized accordingly.

If you need help with this, feel free to ask us.

If you have previously linked to a remote avatar, it may now be gone and for that I am sorry. You might need to relink the avatar and everything will be fine.

I think 200x200 is more than sufficient, anything more than that and it'll probably start breaking the style sheets. xD

Actually, the restrictions are set at 100x100...I'll look into it.

The avatar size restriction affects only uploaded avatars. I'd recommend disabling remote avatars, as they're of limited utility anyway.

100x100 is fine. 150x150 is maybe a bit much, but agreeable.

And yeah, Sikamaru is awesome. But I still want to look at the text off to the right, too XD

Ok guys, the avatar situation has been FIXED!

You can now upload avatars as well as link to any damn avatar you want. It'll resize it for you and everything will be peachy! Very Happy

how do you change the title under the avatar.. is it possible at all or do you have to have a certain post count

It goes with the post count, but I wouldn't be surprised if an admin can fix you up something special.

Aite, I'll change your custom titles now, but I'll make the name changes tomorrow. Smile

I'm waiting till tomorrow for that to make sure you all get the message that you'll have to log in with your new name. Like if you log in with your old name (case sensitive), and you can't, that'll be why.
